"Amazing book for SpEd Teachers. Cutest book with great content. Love that it uses a cute story to teach students (especially those with autism) great strategies to handle their frustrations and emotions. Cute pictures with fun font and wording. Overall such a good book for the classroom."

"Wonderful for all ages! Lucky enough to get this book in person. My son loves it and asks to read it daily. He asked his auntie to read it to hm one night and she said, "I think this book is helping me!" Great Book. Cute illustrations. Absolutely worth it."

About The Porgy & Petunia Adventure Series

Porgy & Petunia Press is an independent children's book publisher founded by Georgena Yanoff — a retired Occupational Therapist with more than forty years of experience working with young children and their families in various setting and at various times in their development.

We publish picture books with the goal of equipping children with better coping mechanisms, strong problem solving skills, and critical thinking strategies to enable them to solve conflicts, deal with emotions, and thrive in social settings.

Every title in the Porgy & Petunia™ series is built around the real emotional and social challenges children face in their earliest years — learning to use an inside voice, discovering that being different is a strength, building the problem-solving and coping skills that shape who they become. The stories are warm, playful, and vivid — but they are also intentional. Every word is chosen by someone who spent a career understanding exactly what children need to hear, and when.

The series began not in a publisher's office but at bedtime — in the impromptu stories the author invented for her own children on the nights when feelings were too big and words were hard to find. Those stories found their way onto the page. Now they are here for every family.

Every book is typeset in Dyslexie Font by Christian Boer — a typeface designed specifically for readers with dyslexia — because we believe accessibility is not a feature. It is a foundation. Every child deserves a book made with them in mind.
